Hiho is made of molded plywood. I used seven layers of 1/16″ Canadian maple, and did the lay up over a shaped styrofoam mold with a small vacuum bag and hand pump. I’m looking forward to trying this technique with more advanced shapes / molds next.
Why is skateboard grip always additive? With Tomo I routed three different topographic depths into the surface of the deck. The end result is map that functions as a grip. I’m excited for the next attempt at this technique. I’d like to do some known topographies and experiment in using plyboo as the base material. Second in a series of cases made for the Blackberry, Poof is a case made for the utter extravagance of winter glamor. Poof has a real fur body and soft leather cap. She fits in no pockets and enjoys being the center of attention and conversation.

Le Creamsicle is constructed out of Plyboo and hand-painted with Gouache. I love the shape and especially enjoy this board as an accessory. Ride-wise, it takes some practice.

The first Gesture Board, sfz, is made of plyboo. It is cut and sanded with scroll saw and hand sander. I love the flex in this board. The graphic is a Monotype print of hand-drawn designs, done with oil paint.
